JD Sports Fashion increases footprint with Champion Sports acquisition. JD Sports
Fashion has acquired of 100% of the entire issued share capital of indebted Republic
of Ireland-based Champion Sports Holdings for a nominal amount. JD also agreed
to advance €17.1m as a secured loan, to allow Champion's outstanding indebtedness,
excluding finance lease commitments of €2.5m, to be settled, subject to JD
being satisfied with the terms of approval to be issued by the Competition Authority.
